Nationwide truck dealership hires long-time military veteran to run Tampa service facility.
(May 12, 2022) – After a lengthy nationwide search, Trucks & Parts (Tampa, FL / Honey Brook, PA / Aledo, TX) recently welcomed long-time U.S. Army veteran DeVardy Arnold as Truck Shop Manager for their Tampa location.
Brion Maguire, President of Trucks & Parts said, “Running a truck shop for an organization the size and complexity of Trucks & Parts requires a person with a very special skill set.” He added. “We scoured the country for the perfect individual, and although we met many extremely qualified applicants, we knew from the moment we met DeVardy that he was the ideal candidate for this role. The Truck Shop Manager oversees the preparation of new trucks, reconditioning of used vehicles, as well as the customization of sold units to customer specifications. More than 300 commercial trucks are built, serviced, and reconditioned by their service facilities each year.
With nearly 30-years’ of service in the military, Mr. Arnold served as Director of Operations for the U.S. Army as Battalion Command Sergeant Major, managing over 547 staff members. After retiring from the Army in 2015, DeVardy held fleet management roles for major waste industry corporations including Republic, Advanced Disposal, and Waste Pro.
