Shop Manager

Located in Aledo, Texas, Trucks & Parts, the largest reseller of refuse trucks in North America, is hiring for a highly motivated and success-driven Shop Manager to join our growing team. Trucks & Parts is entering into our 72nd year in business and is still recognized as the leader in supplying fleet solutions to the private, public, and municipal marketplace.

Plan, direct, and coordinate the operation of the Truck Shop and Service Departments. Duties and responsibilities are diverse in nature and include working within company and facility guidelines, overseeing shop purchasing, managing daily operations including the achievement of safety, production, and quality goals and quotas. Direct and coordinate unit budget activities to maximize utilization and efficiency. Managing a staff of diesel mechanics and welders, preparing work schedules and assigning duties.

A minimum of 5 years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience (heavy truck industry desired) is needed. Previous fleet maintenance, fleet management or service department experience at a mid to senior management level is preferred. This position requires strong internal and external communication skills.

• Requires a high school or vocational diploma plus automotive technology and/or diesel engine classes or equivalent on the job training.
